Our VOLUNTEERS make our clinic
To all the parents and guardians of our wonderful Auskickers,
On behalf of the 2018 Fountain Gate Auskick coaching Team, we would sincerely like to welcome you all to the new season.
For those of you who are returning to the clinic again or those who are attending for the first time, we strongly encourage you to assist us in providing the most suitable environment for the success of our clinic.
The Auskick program is run by the community for the community. We are all volunteers who dedicate our own time to all participants in our clinic. We are cognisant that the program is directed 100% to the children. The program emphasis is on the introductory years of young footballers and how they can develop their abilities and skill level. We strongly encourage the parent and guardian group to visit the AFL Auskick website to become familiar with the aims and benefits of this program. http://www.aflauskick.com.au/parents/everything-you-need-to-know/benefitsofauskick/
In addition to the general components of the program, Fountain Gate Auskick would like to stipulate some rules and expectations that we like to utilize. We are mindful, that all members of the clinic are here for enjoyment, and aim for the smooth running of the program.
The main support that the coaches require is from the parents/guardians. This support allows us to best teach your children. We strongly encourage your attendance, assistance and participation. We also ask that the parents/guardians are there to assist in the event of a medical concern or even a toilet break.
Behavioral issues can sometimes disrupt the clinic and affect the other participants and coaches. Parental/guardian support is the best aid in combating this. We are well aware that the children get very excited. The Fountain Gate Coaching Team will sit out any participant who is causing such disruption for a short time. Further disruptions will involve the participant being asked to sit out that day’s activities and continual concerns will involve the removal of the participant from the center altogether. We ask that this topic be discussed with your children.
Please also visit the AFL Auskick website. http://www.aflauskick.com where you can find links all types of outside activities and information on how you can help and participate.
This will continually be updated throughout the year. Our policy on wet days is that the conditions will be assessed right up until the start of the clinic, before making a decision on cancelling the clinic. We will still continue the clinic in very light rain. Should the ground access be restricted due to the weather conditions you will be notified via email.
All children will need to be signed in and out of each clinic. All participants and helpers that are out on the football ground are covered under the AFL’s insurance policy. So don’t be afraid to get involved. We often need the help, we want it and we love it. This is about everyone’s experiences.
For all parents and guardians, we would ask you to support our fundraising efforts so we can provide the most suitable equipment to assist in our clinics. If you would like to help us raise funds or know of anyone that may wish to sponsor our clinic please see a coordinator or coach.
The coaching team are extremely approachable. We are here to help, allay any fears, and clear up any concerns that you should have. We are bound by the requirements of the AFL, but aim to make everything we do fun and enjoyable.
We look forward to seeing you and the Auskickers for the 2018 season
Kind Regards
The Fountain Gate Auskick Coaching Team.
